Logging In and Registering

Click on the Sign Up link at the upper right corner of the GotCause website. Enter the required information in the form, click to accept the terms of use and privacy policy and click on the Sign Up button.

Click on the Login link at the upper right corner of the GotCause website. Enter your e-mail address and password and click on the Login button.

Click on the Login link at the upper right corner of the GotCause website. Click on the Forgot Password link right above the Login button. Enter your e-mail address and click on the Continue button. You will receive an e-mail containing a link to a page where you can reset your password.

Making a Purchase

If someone sent you a link to their fundraiser in an e-mail, on Facebook or Twitter, click on the link and GotCause will bring you to your friend's fundraiser's home page. Proceeds from your purchase will go to this fundraiser (and associated cause). You can select a different fundraiser (and/or cause) if you wish.

If you are starting from the GotCause home page, click on the Find a Friend's Fundraiser button. Enter your friend's name or the name of the fundraiser and click on the Search button. Select a fundraiser (or cause) from the results of the search and GotCause will bring you to the fundraiser's home page.

You can also use the search box in the blue bar at the top of the GotCause website. Select "Fundraisers" from the drop-down menu, enter your search text in the search box and press the Search button. Select a fundraiser from the results of the search and GotCause will bring you to the fundraiser's home page.

From the fundraiser home page, click on the Support Now button. GotCause will show you a list of offers available for purchase. You can narrow the list by using the filter dropdown menu.

To start, follow instructions for "How do I shop for a voucher?" Once an offer is selected, from the offer description page, select the Buy button. Enter your information in the form and pay by clicking on the Check out with PayPal button. You may pay with a credit card without a PayPal account or login to pay with your PayPal account.

After paying for the voucher, from the "Thank you for your purchase!" page, click on the Print Your Voucher button. A separate window opens showing the GotCause voucher that you can print and bring to the business. Click on the Print button at the bottom of the window to send the file to your printer.

If there are no vouchers for businesses in your area, you can still support your friend's fundraiser by making a direct donation to the fundraiser. On the fundraiser's home page, underneath the Support Now button, click on the Donate Money link.

At this time our system only supports purchasing one voucher at a time. Once you have picked an offer and a fundraiser/cause to support, complete the checkout process using PayPal. Once you receive your purchase confirmation, you will then be able to purchase additional vouchers.

Fundraising with GotCause

Have a cause that you'd like to help? Once your cause is registered with GotCause, you can become a fundraiser for your cause through the GotCause website. You will get your own personal fundraising page providing information such as the start and end dates, fundraising goals and a personalized message. Again, this is YOUR personal fundraising page customized by YOU, for YOUR fundraising efforts. You will then notify your supporters by sending links (Facebook, Twitter, e-mail, etc) to your fundraising page. Your supporters can purchase GotCause vouchers and redeem them at the participating businesses. A portion of the purchases made on behalf of your fundraising is donated directly to the cause. Follow directions for "How do I create a fundraiser?" to get started.

Click on the Start Fundraising link in the blue bar at the top of the GotCause website. Alternatively you can click on the Fundraise for Your Cause button on the GotCause home page. If you do not already have a GotCause account, you will need to create one. Once logged into your account, follow the step by step instructions to create a fundraiser.

Log into your GotCause account. Your avatar and account link appear at the top right corner of the GotCause website. Click on your account link and the Your Account page will list all of the fundraisers that you have created. Click on the Manage Fundraiser button in the same row as the fundraiser you would like to edit. The Manage Your Fundraiser tab will now display a summary of your fundraiser on the left side of the page and edit buttons on the right side. Click on Edit the Home Page or Edit Settings to incorporate your desired changes.

No! It does not cost anything for the fundraiser or cause to be listed on the GotCause website.

Once you have created a fundraiser, on the fundraiser's home page, there is a "Help get the word out" section located directly under the Support Now button. This section provides links to various social media networks such as Facebook, Twitter and more. Click on the appropriate icon to contact your family, friends, and colleagues who would be interested in supporting your fundraiser.

GotCause pays causes the month following the month when the contributions were made.

If your favorite cause is not already listed in GotCause, click on the Register Your Cause button on the GotCause home page. Enter the required information and a GotCause administrator will add your cause. Be sure to give your contact information as we may need to contact you for additional information.

If the information about a cause needs to be changed or updated, you can contact your Account Manager (the person who signed you up with GotCause) or send e-mail to the GotCause administrators at .

Yes. Click on the View Causes link in the blue bar at the top of the GotCause website. Select a cause from the list. Click on the Support Now button and purchase an offer. The business providing the offer will donate a portion of your purchase to the cause you have chosen.

When the cause's description page shows the "Verified by GotCause" stamp, GotCause has completed a verification process to ensure the validity and legitimacy of the cause.

Partnering with GotCause

Click on the Register your business on GotCause link in the sidebar on the right of any GotCause website page. Submit the required information and a GotCause administrator will contact you.
